Welcome to Year 2! 

Ms Alcock will be your teacher for this year

About Ms Alcock...

My name is Ms Alcock and this year, I will be teaching Year 2. I have been teaching at St Anne's for more than thirteen years, and have now taught in every year group, with exception to EYFS. 

Forest school trained, I also love the arts, Literacy, a bit of competitive sport and games, and take the lead across school in RSE and PSCHE. I am also part of the Senior Leadership Team as the school SENDCo and one of the Deputy Safeguarding Leads.

I aim to encourage the children in my class to be independent learners and thinkers, secure and confident in themselves, to help nuture our happy, close-knit, family orientated school atmosphere.  I am a lively personality and enjoy talking and laughing with the children and staff at St Anne's- this is the best part of my job! I pride myself on offering the children a lot of fun and laughter, am passionate about building confidence and self-esteem, and work hard to establish friendly and supportive relationships with parents and carers.

Let's hope Year 2 2022-23 is filled with lots of giggles alongside high quality learning and exploration of our world!
