Pupil Voice

We consider pupil voice to be very important in school.

We often consult our pupils on school issues.

Pupil Survey

We carry out a survey each year in which all pupils are encouraged to comment on life at St Annes. In our most recent survey we found out that:

  • The majority of children like school and think that this is a good school.
  • Most agree that the school provides a good range of additional activities and that the school provides lots of different things to do.
  • 98% believe that the school helps them to understand healthy eating.
  • Pupils think that their teachers help them to improve and they say that they can understand their teachers.
  • All children say that they know how to be good in school.
  • All children like their Teacher and almost all children state that they are doing their best and working hard
  • Almost all children are proud of their work and their topic work.
  • 99% stated that they would tell a teacher if someone was unkind to them
  • 97% stated that the school helps people of different backgrounds to get on

Pupil Groups

In school we have a variety of pupil groups. The groups are listed below:

  • School Council
  • Year 6 House Captains
  • Mini Vinnies
  • ECO Ambassadors
  • E-Safety Ambassadors
  • Art Ambassadors

The groups provide one way of working with the pupils to develop aspects of school. They also provide excellent opportunities for pupils to lead school initiatives.

Spotlight On Our School Council

Meet our School Council. Our school council is a committed group of pupils who represent the views of pupils in school. Pupil voice is important and we love to hear about all of their exciting ideas!

Our School Council is a group of pupils, with representatives from every class, who represent the views and opinions of their fellow pupils and give them an opportunity to have their say.

The School Council is elected by secret vote by the children in each class and every year they choose an amazing group of children who are bursting with ideas about how we can make our school even better.

The School Council meet regularly to talk about how things are going in their classes and if there are any suggestions, worries, concerns or ideas about how to improve our school.
