CATHOLIC LIFE AND MISSION

At St Anne’s, Catholic life and mission are not separate from school life; they are woven into everything we do. Our faith shapes our values, relationships and learning, ensuring that Christ is at the heart of our community. Through daily interactions, prayer and action, pupils and staff bear witness to the Gospel and treat one another with dignity, respect and compassion.

Pupils play an active role in living out the school’s Catholic mission and are given meaningful opportunities to lead as witnesses to faith. Prayer Leaders support prayer and collective worship, while Altar Servers serve reverently within school and parish life, strengthening pupils’ understanding of vocation, service and liturgy. Through Mini Vinnies, pupils live out Catholic Social Teaching by responding to the needs of others with generosity and justice, and Safeguarding Champions help to promote a culture of care where everyone feels safe and valued.

Leadership opportunities across school life reflect our belief that faith is lived through action. Pupils contribute confidently as members of the School Council, Eco-Council, and as Art, Reading and PE Ambassadors, demonstrating stewardship, responsibility and service to others.

Supported by strong partnerships with families and the parish, and guided by the consistent witness of staff, Catholic life at St Anne’s enables pupils to grow spiritually, morally and socially. As a result, children develop a strong sense of belonging and are prepared to go forward as confident, compassionate and faithful members of the wider community
